The Bay Terrace Country Club, located in Northeast Queens and overlooking Little Neck Bay, is a cooperatively owned private swim club. It features an Olympic handicapped-accessible swimming pool that contains two slides, sun decks, a kiddie pool, lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas and grassy, shaded areas. It hosts such activities as paddle tennis, card games, handball and basketball as well as youth activities and such types of family entertainment as movie nights and campouts. It also features a club room and the Cafe on the Bay. Community events are hosted throughout the year and ample parking is available in its spacious parking lot.
Rows of tennis courts, which are fitted for winter use with inflatable bubble roofs, are outside at the North Shore Tennis & Racquet Club, while inside are posh leather couches, a fire place, oriental carpets and floor-to-ceiling windows for watching matches. A restaurant and bar inside serves up a club dining experience — one of many reasons Long Island tennis clubbers often make the drive to Bayside.
