The century-old St. Petersburg Yacht Club has long been a popular social club for those interested in boating. The club is very active, hosting many events throughout the year, ranging from regattas to holiday parties. Members have access to three marinas along the St. Petersburg waterfront, including the main dock across from the Yacht Club as well as docks at Pass-a-grille and Snell Isle. The club is also known for fine dining and live music, where members can have a meal and cocktails while live jazz bands and pianists play in the background.
The Sailing Center at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club boasts nearly 50 club-owned sailboats which are available for use by members of the club. In addition to housing and maintaining sailboats for its members to take out, the Center also offers sailing lessons and is home to a competitive racing team. Memberships are available in the form of junior (under 21), adult and family memberships.
