Staff - Since Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is the only family owned combination facility in Pensacola, some people may think we only conduct services at our funeral home or in our cemetery. Our funeral directors have a vast amount of knowledge and experience conducting services and burials at other area churches and cemeteries. At PMG our staff serves all faiths and considers your personal wishes a guideline for the service. We can assist veterans and those eligible dependents with services at Barrancas National Cemetery or Arlington National Cemetery. Louise Sutton Miller became the President of Pensacola Memorial Gardens in 1987 after her fathers death and her mothers retirement, and is in that position today. She oversaw the construction of the Funeral Home in 1995, allowing PMG to serve families in all aspects of their death care needs. A Chapel Mausoleum, constructed in 1998, provides more than 600 crypt and niche spaces with both interior and exterior spaces available. New gardens were opened in 1998 and 2000, and we still have room to grow on 36 remaining acres. The company is committed to the ideal of serving families. Our purpose is to continue to maintain a beautiful memorial park and to provide the public with professional service in a caring way. Comments from families concerning service: "This was a time when I knew absolutely nothing of what to do.You were there to help us thru it. Thanks will never be enough."

Sarasota Memorial Park was founded by two undertakers many years ago when Sarasota was just a small town. The first burial was that of Edward Bonapart "Bones" Hogan on July 10, 1945. Later, when Hwy 41 was constructed, Bones Hogan's remains were moved to what is now the center of the cemetary. Some gravestones date as far back as 1882, but these were relocated from other cemetaries.
