This martial arts academy specializes in teaching tae kwon do. This is one of five southeastern Wisconsin locations, and has been catering to families in the North Shore area since 2005. The inside is clean, well kept, and spacious, consisting of 2 dojangs (training studios). There are classes Monday through Saturday for students age 4 to 74.
DefenseWorks is operated by Wesley Manko, an author and instructor of various self-defense techniques. He has extensive training in police defensive tactics, Tae Kwon Do, boxing, Aiki-Jitsu, Kempo, fencing, combat Hapkido and other schools of defense. Class schedules are available online.
One of six locations, Cho's is one of the largest and longest operating martial arts organizations in southeastern Wisconsin. Cho's prides itself on its teaching experience and care for its students. Cho's trains in Jidokwon Taekwondo (the art of powerful kicking and punching), Hapkido (the art of pressure points, joint locks and takedowns) and Kuktoki/Becksudo (the art of submission).
