Belief and Practice With the universal Christian Church, The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through Gods Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God. Being "Lutheran" Our congregation accepts and teaches Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone. Our Sunday messages are meant to inspire you by hearing about our gracious Lord through Word, Song, and Sacrament. We invite you to join our family in worship. *Sunday Morning Worship Times 8:00a.m. and 10:45a.m. Summer Service Times: 8:00a.m. and 9:45a.m. (Memorial Day-Labor Day)

Established in 1868, the two-fold mission of our rural church congregation is to proclaim in our neighborhood, our state, our country and all the world that God, through the death and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ, has given to all of us forgiveness and eternal life, and to serve God by helping others in need, wherever they may be. We do this through a local ministry of worship, fellowship, Christian Education, and community service and in places throughout the country and the world through supporting the Ministries of the Southwestern Minnesota Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, particularly their mission programs. We encourage you to believe that God has already given His love to you in Jesus, and to join with us in proclaiming that love and in helping people who are in need.
