Omya California is a dry-grinding facility that provides bright white calcium carbonate products. Its white calcium carbonate ranges in size from the median diameter of more than 40 microns to 2 microns. The facility produces and ships finished products in bulk railcars and semi-bulk bags to meet the needs of the paint, plastics and building products industries throughout the southwestern United States. It has received ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certification from the International Organization for Standardization. Omya California is a division of Omya, which is one of the largest suppliers of ground calcium carbonate for paper filling and coating, plastics, paint, food, pharmaceutical, nutritional and industrial applications in the world. Based in Switzerland, Omya maintains more than 100 production plants located in over 50 countries.
