Founded in 1921, Levi Watkins Learning Resource Center is a library center for academic research at Alabama State University. The university s library offers a wide range of information literacy program to help students, faculty, and staff develop new as well as enhance existing information literacy skills. It provides sessions focusing on specific course assignments, detailing specific information sources, such as the librarys online catalog, databases and the online guides based on different types of research. The library also offers appointments for research assistance with a librarian, and assistance with creating research assignments for academic courses. It additionally provides a wide range of services, such as books and guides on general research guides, education, sociology, African-American studies, English, orientations speech, art, health education, physical therapy, theater services, biology, information management, political science, recreational therapy, criminal justice and social work.
