Established in 1847, the Institute of Notre Dame is a Catholic high school for girls. The educational institution serves more than 350 students in grades nine through 12. It offers classes on a variety of subjects, such as arithmetic, geography, physics, botany, chemistry, physiology and history. It provides German, French and Spanish as foreign languages. It offers various types of sports activities, including soccer, volleyball, hockey, basketball, golf and badminton. It also provides a range of extracurricular activities that includes music, dance, poetry and drama. It operates various clubs and organizations, including campus ministry, cultural awareness club and conflict management program. In addition, the college provides financial services that include loans, grants and scholarships. Located in Baltimore, the Institute of Notre Dame is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Archdiocesan Association of Secondary Schools.
