The organization supports inclusion in the community, works to encourage personal agency and supports thousands of families and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Rosie's Place is a nonprofit organization which provides emergency and long-term assistance to poor and disadvantaged women. The organization operates a dining room which serves lunch and dinner all week and a food pantry which provides 20 to 40 pounds of groceries for 1,800 women per month. Rosie's Place also operates a women's health and wellness center, staffed with doctors and nurses who can provide immunizations, blood pressure/sugar screenings and treatment for general medical issues.
Serving Norfolk County, Horace Mann Education Associates provides services for children, employment, residential and family supports. It extends to over 110 communities in the region and currently serves 3,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities.
