The Stoogeum is a museum of Three Stooges memorabilia. The museum has about 100,000 pieces of "stoogeabilia" in a 10,000 square-foot facility. Items on display include 16MM films, interactive displays and artifacts that date as far back as 1918. The museum has a research library and theater that can seat more than 80 people. The theatre is used for lectures, presentations and screenings. The Stoogeum is also home to the Three Stooges Fan Club. Admission is free.
Glencairn Museum presents religious life through the ages by means of a remarkable collection that illustrates religions as varied as ancient Egyptian, ancient Greek and Roman, medieval Christian, Islamic, Asian and American Indian.
Glencairn was the home of Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn, built in the Romanesque style between 1928-1939. In 1980, after Mildred Pitcairn passed away, Glencairn was given to the Academy of the New Church to house its museum collection. Glencairn now serves as a museum of art and the history of religion, serving the Academy of the New Church schools and the broader public.
Glencairn Museum is part of the Bryn Athyn Historic District, and is associated with the Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools and Bryn Athyn College.
With the exception of special events, the museum is only accessible through guided tours. Tours leave regularly on weekdays at 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 1, 1:30, 2:30 and 3 p.m.
The Museum of Indian Culture is a non-profit organization and educational center. Founded in 1980, it is dedicated to presenting, preserving and perpetuating the history of the Lenape and other Northeastern Woodland Indian cultures.
The Museum of Indian Culture is located along the Lehigh Parkway at 2825 Fish Hatchery Road outside of Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
The museum features dozens of arrowheads, tools, jewelry, animal pelts and other artifacts found in the Lehigh Valley and in an archaelogical site in Broomall, Pa. Displays depict Native Americans as they would have looked both prehistorically and after Europeans began to settle the area.
A gift shop offers candles, jewelry, note cards, books and other items. The museum includes a research library.
The museum hosts workshops and festivals throughout the year.
The Wissahickon Valley Historical Society was founded in 1975, to preserve the local historical buildings, artifacts and folklore of the historic Wissahickon Valley. The headquarters of the Historical Society are in the Whitpain Public School 1895 building. The building houses a library and museum.
Cliveden is a local historical site. It is the site of the Chew House, built by attorney Benjamin Chew in 1767. It is known for being the location of the 1777 Battle of Germantown. The National Trust for Historic Preservation owns and runs the site. It is available to the public for walking tours during the hours listed on this page. Visitors are requested to call in advance of attending a tour.
