The Great Brook Farm State Park is a public park. It offers many recreation activities including fishing, hiking, canoeing, biking, skiing and horseback riding. The park is also home to a fully operational dairy farm that's open for tours between May and October. The park offers ski and canoe rentals during the winter and summer respectively. Encompassing nearly 2,000 acres, Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary includes 25 miles of trails, as well as a bird-feeding station and a butterfly garden. A three-day Halloween Prowl is planned for late October at this Massachusetts Audubon Society site.
Adams Farm is a historical and conservation site that includes more than 700 acres of land open to the public for appreciation and low-impact recreational activities. The area is full of hiking trails of varying lengths, picnic areas and historical sites to explore. Regular community and seasonal events are held, including the annual Adams Farm Field Day, which features a variety of family activities.
Adams Farm is managed and maintained by Friends of Adams Farm, a not-for-profit organization striving to preserve natural and historical spaces for the benefit of future generations. Donations and volunteers are always welcome.
