Gymnastics and More serves children from toddler age to fourth grade and above. A variety of classes are available throughout the year, including independent instruction and classes involving parent participation. Gymnastics and More is home to boys and girls gymnastics teams, which compete regularly. Call or go online to begin the enrollment process. The facilities are made available for birthday parties as well.
Exxcel Gymnastics & Climbing believes that involvement in sports is one of the best ways to instill healthy attitudes and values in young children for life. Kids learn to tumble and climb, but they also learn to respect others and appreciate their own self-worth. They improve coordination and teach technique, but more importantly, the staff says, they encourage a love of learning and teach children to accept new challenges. Athletic Based Training offers performance and agility training for athletes of all ages. Private or small group sessions are available from youth to the professional level. This center also runs an adult fitness bootcamp.
The family-owned Gymnastic Academy of Boston has been training boys and girls up to age 18 since 1972. This Norwood location is the parent branch of a chain of four Massachusetts academies and offers beginner to competition-level classes. The facility features a tumble track, mini and regular trampolines, a foam pit, a rock wall, a vault, uneven and parallel bars, beams, rings, a pommel horse and moon bounces. The academy also has a parents' viewing room, cubbies for personal belongings and a small pro shop. All of the coaches are USAG safety certified.
Tumble Kids USA offers tumbling and gymnastics programs for children ages one to 15. Operating out of a colorful gym with a soft padded floor, Tumble Kids USA features classes that range in size from one to 10 students. A competitive team program is available for older children. Open Gym hours each week allow younger children to play in a less structured environment.
