Founded in 1869, St. Vincents Services, also known as SVS, is one of the oldest child care agencies in New York City. It serves individuals, children and families with mental and developmental disabilities. The facility is affiliated with the Catholic Church and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families & Children and the National Association of Homes & services for Children. Its foster home program provides support services for more than 600 neglected and abused boys and girls. St. Vincents Services offers medical and educational counseling.
