Company Since 1984 Moore Quality Galvanizing has provided superior quality and service. We pride ourselves on our quality by hand finishing the steel after galvanizing. This enables our customers to send finished product straight to the job site. Saving our customers valuable time and freight expense. We strictly adhere to ASTM A-123 specifications on all work and will certify to that when requested. Our kettle size is 32long x 7wide x 9deep. This is the widest kettle in the western United States. Various other "oversize" frames or assemblies can be successfully galvanized when the designer and galvanizer can coordinate the design parameters in advance of fabrication. Our lifting capacity is 20 tons ( overhead ) and numerous forklifts from 2 tons to 5 1/2 tons capacity. Our property size is 5 acres which provides ample room for trucks and storage of material. Moore Quality Galvanizing is also concerned about the environment. That is why we only use High Grade Zinc with very low lead concentrations. High Grade Zinc contains approximately.002% lead. We are one of only a few galvanizers who galvanize with a low lead concentration.

The company was founded in 1957 by brothers, Rubin and J.C. (Cannon) Amos with one employee manufacturing bands from a self-made machine for only Texas sales. The company now has over 60 employees and ships nationwide. Of the 60 employees 15 have over 20 years of service and 14 have 10-20 years of service, providing Hearne Steel with a stable, experienced work force. The decision to locate the business in Hearne, Texas was made because of its proximity to all major Texas cities within a 150-mile radius and the availability of good labor supply. During the 1960s land was bought and the first buildings were constructed which included an expansion in the product line from bands to other residential and industrial fence fittings. A galvanizing plant was added to further enhance the operations. The company has continued to expand into the 21st century with more efficient press operations, improved galvanizing procedures, in-house tool and die department and bar code labeling capabilities. Plant facilities and office space now total approximately 100,000 square feet on 26 acres of land in the Hearne Industrial Park.

Tennessee Galvanizing provides coating services that promote structural durability and protect against rust and corrosion. Hot dip galvanizing is the process of applying a zinc coating to fabricated iron or steel material by immersing the material in a bath consisting primarily of molten zinc. Galvanizing forms a metallurgical bond between the coating and the underlying material, creating a barrier that is an extension of the metal itself. Tennessee Galvanizing uses only special high-grade or high-grade zinc, which measure low in impurities and toxic metals such as lead. Zinc s corrosion rate is only a small fraction of that of steel. Zinc applied to steel can add 40 years to a component life expectancy. Galvanizing is comparable in cost and requires less maintenance than paint systems. Tennessee Galvanizing recycles and did not ship any hazardous waste off site in 2002 or 2003.
