Mingo Gallery & Custom Framing is an art gallery and framing store. The Furniture Institute of Massachusetts is a furniture woodworking program, offering part-time and full-time classes in Beverly. The program provides instruction in furniture design and construction, and is intended for individuals pursuing a career in furniture making. The curriculum emphasizes classical woodworking techniques in a creative learning environment. Part-time classes are offered during the weekend, nights and summer, and the full-time program is from September through June. Philip Lowe is the owner, founder and faculty instructor for the school and has been teaching since 1975. Facilities include a drafting room, machine room, bench room, a reference library and computers.
