Sarku Japan is located in the food court of the Crystal Mall. It is a fantastic place to stop by and quickly dine on freshly prepared Japanese food. The highlight is that while waiting for their meal the customer is able to witness their food being prepared - hibachi style.
Formerly Shoreline Foods, Wilson Jara's Shoreline Cafe & Catering is located a quarter-mile from Branford Green. Jara is also the owner of the coffee shop, Common Grounds, which is adjacent to the Green. Shoreline Cafe & Catering's menu contains 11 chicken dinners, including Chicken Wilson, a dish comprised of prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and spinach with lemon lobster sauce.
A fully array of breakfast items is available, and for lunchtime, choose from an assortment of sandwiches, wraps, burgers and more. A self-serve salad bar rounds out the offerings.
The dining room has ample seating with about a dozen tables that look out onto Main Street through large glass windows. Outside dining is also available.
Extra Virgin Oil Store is a locally owned and operated gourmet food store, specializing in premium extra virgin olive oil and vinegar. The shop offers a wide selection of high quality traditional and infused oils and vinegars, in flavors that include black cherry, blood orange and many others. Wine based sauces, artisan dry pastas and gift boxes are also available.
Winner of the 2010 University of Connecticut medium-size business Family Business Award, Miller Foods, home of Oma's Pride and O'Paws animal products, has been in business since the 1950s. The Miller family sells over 4,000 holiday turkeys each year as well as semi-boneless "turkease" and "turduckenease," dinner complements and fresh pies.
