As a subsidiary of Golden Enterprises, Golden Flake products include corn chips, potato chips, pork skins, cheese curls, tortilla chips and baked puffs. Other products include cakes and cookie items, canned dips, pretzels, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers and dried meat. Golden Flake went public in 1968 and is listed on NASDAQ under the symbol GLDC. The company serves more than 10 states in the South. More than 600 manufacturing and production employees work in the company s two manufacturing plants, which are located in Birmingham, Ala. and Ocala, Fla.
