What is known as Westbury Graphics today was originally an in-house print shop connected to a retail business in Cheshire, CT which Frank Smith, the owner, started in 1974. The print shop produced advertising materials, such as, mailers, flyers, post cards and catalogs to promote its products for sale by mail order as well as to stimulate the in-store walk-in business. After 10 years, Mr. Smith sold the retail part operations to a local competitor and moved the print shop to Naugatuck, CT to self publish a number of books he had written. Experiencing moderate success with the publishing business, he gradually started excepting general printing jobs from local businesses in the area and eventually made business to business printing, signs and graphics design the core business concentration. Because of Mr. Smiths background in computers and digital technologies, Westbury Graphics has evolved into a high tech digital imaging company producing products for the most discriminating customers. Products range from items as small as a business card to 24 ft. lighted signs in full color to vehicle wraps on Greyhound buses and everything in between.
Todays digital equipment and the personnel to operate it comes at a steep price, so in order to stay competitive and offer the high end products that the market is requesting, Westbury has partnered up with some of the largest most sophisticated companies in the country to produce much of the work that it takes in, however all of the design and prep work remains in-house in order to keep absolute control over the products desired look and appeal. The old saying still applies, . . .Garbage in. . .garbage outÂ!
