Webster Groves City Hall is located adjacent to the city's Police and Fire Departments in Old Webster. Departments include Finance, Administration, Public Works and Planning and Development. Upon entering City Hall, visitors will find the customer service desk, where friendly staff can answer questions about city services and direct residents to the appropriate department. The City Council and most boards and commissions meet in Council Chambers located on the second-floor of City Hall. Municipal Court is also held in the Council Chambers. In addition to fire suppression and paramedic services, Metro West Fire Protection District teams also assist with technical rescues and speciality services. Every firefighting team responding in the fire trucks includes a certified paramedic, making the district's service akin to having an ambulance team present.
The district is comprised of five fire stations, with two located in Wildwood. Station 3 in Wildwood serves as the administrative headquarters. The other stations are in Ballwin, Castlewood, and Ellisville. The district focuses on injury prevention through a variety of community education and support programs, and also conducts inspections and issues permits.
Metro West participates in the Greater St. Louis area Councils Exploring Program (Post 9308) teaching 14 to 18 year olds about careers in fire and emergency services.
The district's daily mission is to prevent emergencies. It also makes a special effort to identify any residents who have mobility challenges, and invests its best thinking into strategic emergency management and preparation.
This station was originally built in the 1960s and remodeled in the 1990s. It is staffed by three to four people at all times and has a 75-foot ladder truck at this particular location. Assistant Chief Rich Oney says it's the mission of the fire department to serve without boundaries. The district reaches 20,000 people across the year at events, fairs and schools.
The Monarch Fire Protection District provides fire and EMS services to various parts of Chesterfield, Ballwin, Clarkson Valley, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, Wildwood and unincorporated St. Louis County.
The district traces its roots to the Chesterfield Fire Protection District, which was founded in 1957. At that time, the district had two engine houses and about 12 volunteers.
Renamed Monarch Fire Protection District in 2003, the district now employs about 125 people and features five fire houses.
The administration building, located at 13725 Olive Boulevard, is where the district's Board of Directors regularly meets.
The police department of the City of Warson Woods provides monitoring services for the town as well as emergency response, neighborhood watch and vacation checks. It is helmed by Chief Robert Stanczak.
