The South Metropolitan Fire District provides fire suppression and advanced life support emergency medical response services. It serves the residents of Raymore Cass County and Lake Winnebago counties in Missouri. The district covers an area of more than 52 square miles. The South Metropolitan Fire District works with a team of more than 40 staff members, including battalion chiefs, paramedics and firefighters. The department works to protect the lives, property and environment from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. Its services include hazardous materials response, fire prevention, business inspections, and search and rescue.
