The Alliance has renovated the century-old Banning Woman's Club building into its headquarters, adding a sculpture garden with a new Veterans Memorial Wall. It sponsors and organizes festivals that include the pre-holiday Phineas Festival and an Easter-season Art Hop. Led by Executive Director Carol Newkirk, the Alliance is a spearhead organization in the drive to rehabilitate Banning's downtown retail district. The Alliance also operates the Banning Center for the Arts gallery and PAPA theater group.

There are plans for a new emergency room and ICU after a renovation of the hospital's infrastructure -- all projects funded by a $108 million bond approved by hospital district voters. The "memorial" in the hospital's name is a dedication to military veterans.
