Founded in 1921, Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation has a membership of more than 600,000 family members and is located in Columbia, Tenn. The farm bureau s public affairs department provides assistance services for its members in areas, such as private property rights, taxation, regulations and other legislative issues regarding membership. The organization provides property protection reward programs, tax, record keeping, and satellite and livestock marketing services through its Tennessee Livestock Producers organization, youth programs, womens activities and other farm-related activities. It publishes a bimonthly farm publication for its farmer members that provides information related to farming and agricultural issues. The organization also has various affiliate companies that provide insurance services and a wide range of health care plans.
