Spirit of Unity is a church based in Modus. It offers Sunday worship services as well as special services for weddings, christenings and even business and pet blessings. The church's founder, Rev. Alicia-Leslie, also offers spiritual coaching.
Hillside Covenant Church, a member of the broader Evangelical Covenant Church, sits atop the western part of Naugatuck's town center, just across from the intersection with Hillside Avenue and the Hillside Intermediate School. Hillside Covenant Church was organized as the Swedish Evangelical Bethany Congregation (Church) in Naugatuck in 1894.

The Talmadge Hill Community Church was founded in 1870, and some of its members are now four generations deep.
Music is a unique feature of the Church. Not only does the Sunday service include hymns but also original compositions by the music director. There's a grand piano in the modest sanctuary in place of an organ.
Sunday school at Talmadge Hill is based on the teachings of the first Italian woman physician Maria Montessori, a pioneer in spiritual education. The church emphasizes missionary programs and participates in a variety of both local and overseas projects. One quarter of the church's revenue benefits these pursuits.
Founded and pioneered by Pastor Robert Cassara in 1993, New Beginnings Community Church (NBCC ) is a non demoninational, independent church.
The church has approximately 20 volunteer based ministries for men, women, students, children, and young adults. Small groups called “cells,” meet throughout the week. On Sundays, the entire NBCC meets for worship.
The mission of the members of Cornerstone Community Church is improving relationships with themselves, their God and their community. The church is led by five different pastors. The church has childcare and children's services available. Sunday service starts at 9:30am.
Rock of Refuge Tabernacle Church describes itself as a non-denominational Christian church. It conducts services at St. Paul Lutheran Church, at 76 High St. Sunday services are at 1pm. Prayer meetings are held every Tuesday at 7pm; the doors open at 6:30pm.
Grace Fellowship Christian Center is a nondenominational place of worship with a culturally diverse congregation. The church is active in community outreach and has many avenues for its members to explore and express their faith. Among them are music programs (during services, coffeehouses and Music on the Green outreach events), youth programs (Sunday School, Children's Church, Youth with Purpose), Bible study, missionary programs and more.
Describing itself as a Christ-centered, nondenominational church, Calvary Chapel desires "to be faithful to the call God has placed on our fellowship in the context of the Body of Christ." The church considers itself to be somewhere between the Fundamentalist and the Pentecostal church. Its program is rich with activities, services and opportunities to serve and volunteer. The chapel also has a radio station, at 94.9 and 100.1 FM.
Branford Bible Chapel on Branford Road (Route 139) is a medium-sized, non-denominational, "bible-believing, Christ-honoring" church led by a board of Elders. The church has been at its current location since 1993; it was founded 21 years earlier, in 1972. It supports several missionary programs. The church holds weekly ministry and worship services, bible studies and prayer groups.
