St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church traces its history back to 1959, when a group met at the office of Dr. Charles T. Mooney to discuss creating an organization for the Greek families in this area. The state of Massachusetts eventually granted a charter to the Middlesex Hellenic-Orthodox Association on August 14, 1959.  Shortly after that date, Archbishop Iakovos approved the organization's application for a church charter under the Greek-Orthodox Archdiocese and the opening service was celebrated on November 15, 1964.
