The License Center serves the general public as a Minnesota Department of Public Safety Deputy offering licenses for autos, driver renewals, boats, snowmobiles, off road vehicles, hunting and fishing. It also offers passport services.
The Washington County Service Center, located across the street from Woodbury's Public Safety Department, is part of the county's satellite service facilities. The building has a license center and mental health services. It includes the county's Workforce Center, as well.
The Dakota County Heritage Library opened in 2000 and is one of eight branches of libraries in the Dakota County library system. The library system is part of the seven-county Metropolitan Library Service Agency group of libraries, offering joint programming and reciprocity privileges to cardholders.
Heritage Library is located in the same building as the Dakota County License Center and adjacent to the Lakeville City Hall, along Heritage Drive, near downtown Lakeville.
