Henry Ford Health System is a nonprofit health care enterprise that offers acute, primary, tertiary, quaternary and preventive care, as well as research and education, to residents of Michigan. The system operates four hospitals with more than 1,500 licensed beds, as well as several specialized institutes and centers. It is governed by a 45-member board of community leaders and maintains advisory and affiliate boards representing 220 trustees. Nearly 65,000 patients are admitted to the system s hospitals each year and it annually provides more than $100 million in uncompensated care. Henry Ford Health System was founded in 1915 by automaker Henry Ford. It is based in Detroit.

Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is one of the nation’s largest hospitals specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. The Institute is home to many innovative programs, including the Southeastern Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury System (SEMTBIS), one of only 16 federally designated centers of excellence in the U.S. for the treatment of brain injuries, and the Center for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery, a world-class facility designed to implement and study innovative treatments in spinal cord injury recovery. RIM is one of eight hospitals operated by the Detroit Medical Center (DMC). The DMC is proud to be the Official Healthcare Services Provider of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and Detroit Pistons.
