We are very proud to be the owners of this web store along with the parent store Route 66 Place. In the same building as The Route 66 Place is Twisters 1950s Soda Fountain and Route 66 Cafe. Originally built as a Texaco gas station on Route 66 in 1926, we have tried to maintain the nostalgic feeling of yesteryear gone by. Twisters is as authentic as it gets, right down to the red and white booths and the 1950s music playing. We serve original 1950s ice cream treats and food. Our burgers may just be the best in Arizona and our shakes will take you back 50 years. We love seeing the faces of people when they walk into the door. We have heard things like is this real, I cant believe my eyes and I remember a place just like this 50 years ago. Keeping the feeling of the good ole days alive is very important to us. Our store Route 66 Place, offers a wide selection of 1950s memorabilia, Route 66 collectors items and just some really neat-o things. Just recently, we completed our full service bar with 20 different beers on tap, wine and mixed drinks! Now you can get your buzz on Route 66 as well. We look forward to serving all of you, whether it be in our store or on the internet. Please stop and visit us when you are in the Williams area, we are one hour south of the Grand Canyon. You will be sure to find at least one of us here. We are always happy to meet new friends. We will be updating our website frequently to give more information about our car show, The Cool Country Cruise In, we have every August. Hope to see you there. If you ever have any questions about our web store or the car show please email me at [email protected]. Route 66 Place, Twisters and Route 66 Cafes phone number is ( 928 ) 635-0266 if you need to know about hours or menu questions.
