This office is bound by the Commonwealth of Kentuckys Constitution and Statutes and we make it our mission to serve you in a competent manner. We are dedicated in assisting you with accurate information and in providing fair and timely assessments of real property. Jessamine County consists of 174 square miles of total land. Of this total, 173 square miles is land and only 1 square mile is water. Located on the Kentucky River in Jessamine County, The Valley View Ferry is the oldest continuous run business in the state. The first Nicholasville Courthouse was erected in 1823. Prior to that date, court was held in parlors, sheds, or stables.

The McCracken County Regional Jail has been operating since 1990. It houses more than 450 inmates. The McCracken County Regional Jail features a range of drug and alcohol programs, as well as conducts blood pressure and insulin checking services.
