Rockville Volunteer Fire Department Company Station 23 is known as "The Boulder." The station houses Engine 231, Aerial Tower 23, Medic 239 and Ambulance 238. Because of its location just off Rockville Pike, the station responds to all types of calls: Residential, business, retail stores and nursing homes. The station was built in 1963.
