Civic Park is a 20-acre recreational area in O'Fallon with Civic Hall at the center of the park. Civic Hall is a facility available for banquets and special events. There are two playgrounds at Civic Park, as well as picnic pavillions and horsehoe pits. The Alligator Creek Aquatic Center is adjacent to the park and features a large swimming pool and other water sport activities.
Dardenne Prairie Bible Church offers Sunday worship service as well as Bible study, prayer meetings and fellowship activities at its location on Bates Road. Pastor Dan Schmidt is the church's founder and presiding elder. Sunday school is held during the main Sunday worship service. Once a quarter the church holds a pot-luck dinner in the fellowship hall.
Liberty Classical School is a ministry of Liberty Christian School located at 709 Crestview Drive in O'Fallon. The secondary school was established to provide a parentally guided Bible study. LCS provides families with the tools they need to educate with Biblical based curriculum in their homes.
Assumption Catholic Church was established in O'Fallon in 1871 by a small handful of families in the area. Today the church congregation has grown to nearly 3,200 families and is the third largest in the archdiocese of St. Louis. A second church was built in 2005 to accommodate its growing membership and is connected to the original at 115 West Third Street. The church mission states: "May you find Christ here--may you bring Christ to the world." It offers several programs for youth including child care during mass, Sunday pre-school and Extreme Teen Ministry. It is also involved in several projects to help those in need both locally and worldwide. Assumption offers small Bible study and prayer groups, women's and men's retreats and several programs geared towards members' special talents and interests.
Dardenne Presbyterian Church provides three Sunday worship services, numerous activities and small groups organizations, as well as a counseling center and a wing for youth programs.
O'Fallon Community News is a weekly newspaper available for free at nearly 600 news stands at various businesses throughout the town. The publication highlights upcoming events in the area, and has been owned and operated by the Huneke family since 1921. Community News publishes weekly O'Fallon, St. Charles and St. Louis County news along with a monthly Wentzville magazine and a St. Louis quarterly business magazine.
Hope Bible Church was founded in 1964 and has been at its current location in O'Fallon since 1973. Sunday school is held for all ages at 9am and Sunday morning worship is at 10am. There is also a Sunday evening service at 6pm and adult bible study is offered on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Hope Bible Church has established numerous ministries including a Christian Education Board, Children's Church and Ladies' Fellowship.
Cornerstone United Methodist Church in O'Fallon offers traditional and contemporary worship services on Sundays as well as family and children ministry activities and classes. There is a food pantry open Wednesday mornings from 10am to noon and numerous other mission projects organized by the church.
Faith Chapel Assembly of God is located at 967 Waterbury Falls right off of Highway K. It offers several worship and Bible study programs for children, teens and adults. Holy Cross Lutheran Church was one of the first Lutheran congregations established in O'Fallon. After moving around to several different locations, including the VFW Hall and O'Fallon Mortuary Hall, the current church on Veterans Memorial Parkway was built in May 1975.
Holy Cross Lutheran participates in several community outreach programs, including providing support for the Hope Ministry Food Pantry and working with the O'Fallon Police Chaplains to provide assistance to those in temporary need of food, gas or utilities.
Calvary Baptist Church is located on North Main Street in O'Fallon. Sunday worship and children's Bible school is at 9:30am and there is an evening service at 6pm. Founded in 1971, Calvary Baptist is part of the Twin Rivers Baptist organization.
Community Living was established in St. Charles County 1978 to provide programs and services to people with primarily developmental disabilities. Its goal is to help shape the community to become more inclusive. The organization focuses its services on providing both children and adults with disabilities the opportunities to learn, grow, live and become part of their community. It merged with Family Support Services in July 2010 and expanded programs to reach over 800 individuals and their families. Community Living offers numerous programs, including employment services, support, recreation, residential services, in-home and facility based respite and teen activities.
Liberty Christian Church is located at 709 Crestview Drive. It holds a Saturday youth service at 7 pm and a Sunday service at 10:30am. During service, a nursery is offered for infants and after there is Sunday school for children ages 3-12. Throughout the year the church offers a variety of programs including plays, retreats, a Christmas musical and a church picnic.
