The Danbury Animal Welfare Society, or DAWS, is a volunteer-run non-profit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals. Not only does DAWS hold daily animal adoptions, but it helps find lost pets, offers spay-neuter services, and holds several annual events to raise donations and awareness. The shelter holds up to 60 cats and 30 dogs at a time, and encourages those interested in adopting, to visit during its open house hours.

Commonly known as "Grace on the Green," Grace Episcopal Church has roots in Windsor that date back to the mid nineteenth century. Diamond Hill Methodist faith community in Cos Cob has been worshipping together since 1833. Sunday morning services are held weekly at 10am. Every other Sunday, children are invited to attend Sunday School activities during the second half of the service. Childcare is always available.

Bible Study for adults and young people is offered weekly on Sundays at 11:30am, following worship.

A half-hour Taize service of song, prayer and meditation is held every Thursday at 7:30pm. Attendees represent a number of area churches.
