Stemming from connections to Christian Brothers at the LaSalle Institute in the township of Glencoe (now Wildwood), the Sacred Heart parish was formally founded in 1889. "Harmony, charity and love for the Eucharist" is the parish's motto.
Sacred Heart Athletic Association parishioners volunteer as coaches for the church's basketball and volleyball teams. Other activities include a gardening club and quilting group.

Little Flower Catholic Church was established circa 1940, and the cross at the peak of its dome overlooks a quiet Richmond Heights neighborhood. Unlike some Catholic churches, Little Flower celebrates a Mass in Latin. It happens at 9:15am Sundays. Inside, pews are arranged in a circle around the altar. The building also features a pipe organ. Adjoining the church is a rectory. Father Larry Herzog is pastor here.
Holy Redeemer Catholic Church was founded in 1826. Father Kenneth Brown conducts daily mass and has a large selection of activities and missions events. Some of the activities include a youth soccer program, mission trip to Haiti, local missions, retreats, picnics and more.
