Part of the Department of Public Works, this division performs maintenance on all county buildings and grounds, excluding the parks. The primary mission of the Morris County Park Police is to provide police services to visitors using county park facilities. Morris County administers over 18,000 acres of parkland, the largest county park system in New Jersey. The Park Police department also enforces the law throughout Morris County and provides assistance and specialized services to other agencies. The department includes mounted, bicycle, ATV, motorcycle and patrol units, and a detective bureau.
This tourism bureau's mission is to promote Morris County's historic, cultural and recreational opportunities by providing services to residents, business travelers and tourists. The office is located across the street from the Morris County Courthouse.
The Superintendent of Elections is responsible for overseeing and conducting elections, as well as processing voter registrations and all changes of address, name or party, and providing certified voting machines for polling places throughout the county. The superintendent also provides candidates with lists of registered voters in the form of mailing labels, printed lists and reports, and various digital media. Morristown Vital Statistics maintains records of births, deaths and marriages, civil unions and domestic partnerships that occur in the Town of Morristown.
A member of the Department of Public Works, the County Engineer oversees the Division of Roads and Bridges and the Division of Bridge Construction and Repair. The Engineer is responsible for the design, construction, reconstruction and paving of the 300 miles of county roads, as well as the construction and repair specifications for the county's 1,000 bridges and culverts.

The County Clerk maintains all county land records and related legal documents, which the public may view either by visiting the
Searcher's Vault in the County Clerk's office or via the County Clerk's Web site. Documents reviewed and recorded by the County Clerk's Office include deeds, mortgages and maps. The County Clerk's Registry also processes construction lien claims, clerk certificates, business trade name certificates, veterans discharge (DD214) papers and vendor licenses for veterans.
Conveniently located between Rod's Madison Hotel and the Convent Station Railroad Station, the Post Office offers a wide array of packaging supplies for sale. Post office boxes are also available for rent. The last daily mail collection is at 5pm Monday-Friday and noon on Saturday.
This is the chief law enforcement agency of Morris County. The prosecutor is appointed to a five-year term by the governor and is responsible for setting policy and direction for law enforcement in the county. The agency's staff includes investigators, assistant prosecutors and support staff. Units within the Prosecutor's Office include Major Crimes, Domestic Violence, Megan's Law, Sex Crimes/Child Abuse, Juvenile/Missing Persons, Special Enforcement, Victim Services, Trial Teams and Fraud/Confidential. A member of the Department of Finance, the Morris County Adjuster supervises the preparation of papers relating to the institutionalization of people with mental illness or developmental disabilities. The Adjuster hears testimony regarding the legal settlement and the financial ability of the person in question, or his/her legally responsible relatives to pay the cost of staying in an institution. The Adjuster also works with law enforcement agencies in providing a search of mental health records of gun permit applicants.
Also known as the Board of Taxation, this body maintains all county records of taxable real estate, sets tax rates and equalization ratios and supervises and directs all municipal tax assessors. It also reviews assessments and orders reevaluations when necessary and rules on appeals filed by taxpayers on assessments. The Morris County Division of Weights and Measures, part of the Department of Law & Public Safety, is responsible for checking the accuracy of all commercial weighing and measuring devices in the county. It also makes random checks of commercial goods by weight and measure, and investigates consumer complaints of retail fraud.
