Miami Parking Authority, established in 1955, provides convenient parking services throughout the city of Miami. The authority provides more than 22,000 parking spaces to various Miami communities. It also partners with the city of Miami, and offers courtesy parking program for weather emergencies. Miami Parking Authority also known as the Department of Off-Street Parking of the City of Miami, manages and develops on- and off-street parking. The authority additionally partners with the City of Miami Police Department and Miami-Dade County for enforcement of parking regulations. It is managed and financed by parking revenues and ticket citation revenues are paid directly to Miami-Dade County.
