The Board of Selectmen consists of three elected members: the first selectman and two selectmen. First Selectman Edward Haberek Jr. as well as Selectmen George Crouse Jr. and Glee McAnanly are part of the Board of Selectmen. Board of Selectmen meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm at the Stonington Police Community Room at the Police Department on 173 South Broad St. Some of the responsibilities of the Board of Selectman include ensuring all local resolutions and ordinaries are followed; appointing members of various town boards, agencies and commissions; and calling town meetings. Birdseye Municipal Complex, formerly Birdseye School, is the home of Stratford Community Services, which offers programs for residents including children, youth and families. Among the offices located in the complex are the Youth Service Bureau, Stratford Youth and Family Advisory Board and the School Readiness & Child Care Advisory Council. Stratford Community Services is open Monday through Friday from 8am - 4:30pm and evening hours are available by appointment.

Other offices and programs located in the complex include Stratford Youth Sports Association, CT Energy Assistance Program, Counseling and Social Services, CARE and the Stopping Underage Drinking in Stratford Coalition.

The Stratford Housing Authority is a public corporation that was established in 1943 and is regulated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The authority is also regulated by the state of Connecticut through the Department of Economic and Community Development and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority. Montville Town Hall is surprisingly light and airy inside, even though its exterior reveals the solid brick of so many Connecticut municipal buildings. There's plenty of parking beside the town hall with handicapped parking in front. The landscaping is simple and attractive. Inside, the highly polished adobe colored tile floors, white walls with dark trim, and lots of artwork of Montville attract the eye. There are many levels to the building, and all are accessible by elevator and stairs. There are restrooms on every level.
