The Angel Connection is a ministry for single mothers. This program has community volunteers called "Angels" who work one-on-one with single mothers to help transform those mothers' lives through Godly principals. This ministry assists moms with goal setting, child care assistance, meal planning, job searches and spiritual support.

For more than three decades, the Humane Society of Forsyth County, a NO-KILL shelter, has been the advocate for cats and dogs in the Cumming community. The goal of the HSFC is to make sure all abandoned cats, dogs, kittens and puppies within Forsyth County, as well as the areas of Roswell, North Fulton, John's Creek and Alpharetta, are treated humanely. The people at the shelter also make sure the animals are adopted out to caring, loving homes, and are no longer victims of cruelty and suffering. The dedicated volunteers, office staff, and experienced veterinarians all work together to provide a healthy, stable environment for the many cats and dogs at the facility. The shelter is conveniently located east of Georgia 400 on Keith Bridge Road.
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful is a non-profit organization for education and public outreach. A team effort evolved to maintain the community's beauty through cleanup and recycling. The organization partners with local government, schools, business and civic organizations to accomplish tasks. Several programs like Adopt A Road, Adopt A Stream, Rivers Alive and the annual Christmas Tree Recycling event are among the many projects. All programs are supported by hundreds of volunteers to maintain roadways and water resources.
Habitat for Humanity is a social services organization located in Cumming and across the country. Habitat for Humanity develops communities for those in need. This organization builds and renovates homes.
The PIER Thrift Store & Consignment Center offers a range of gently used household items and clothing. The store is part of the PIER Foundation and provides individuals with disabilities work experience and a chance to help the community. CASA of Forsyth County, a nonprofit organization, provides court-appointed special advocates to children in the juvenile court system who are abused or neglected. These advocates are volunteers who advocate in a child's best interest throughout the entire court process, whether it takes months or years. The advocate attends all court hearings and writes reports to the judge.
Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Georgia is an organization to offer support, provide education and fund research for those with a loved one with this disease.
The syndrome is a birth defect that is a life-long and life-threatening medical condition. It is known to be one of the common genetic causes of obesity and is characterized by low muscle tone, underdeveloped sex organs and small stature. Other symptoms include difficult behavior, cognitive impairment and an uncontrollable urge to eat.
Prader-Willi provides services to families with parent mentoring programs, crisis programs, school advocacy and medical research. It provides additional support through educational newsletters and extensive website information along with email support. Through its many fund-raising events and conferences, the Association aims to further research and eventually find a cure.
Forsyth County Master Gardeners is a volunteer-run training program whose members teach the public about gardening and related subjects and also hold plant sales and garden tours.
Midway Saddle Club is a non-profit organization offering a range of programs and lessons for its members. The location offers various classes, including gaited, English and Western styles. No Longer Bound is a faith-based community of young men, ages 18 and up, who have pledged to stay healthy, sober and/or drug free through support groups, education, counseling and work-training programs. The program is a ten-month, long-term process of recovery. The program's intent is to help those who commit learn to make solid lifestyle changes to build and enhance their futures. No Longer Bound is a nonprofit ministry and through different industries on the property, the committed volunteers raise money through NLB Greenhouse, Community Closet, Cars 4 Recovery and Dark2Light Design Studio.

This organization, dating back to 1898, was founded due to a need for veterans to secure their rights, benefits and band together, thus forming The Veterans of Foreign War. Post 9143 is located on Dahalonega Highway, just off the square in Cumming.
The VFW supports our troops, community, schools and youth through various services. It hosts Bingo on Tuesdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 7:00pm. Annual holiday events include a turkey shoot, holiday gift baskets and a Christmas party for children. This VFW also hosts Boy Scout Troop #39.
