The Merlin Foundation was established in 1993 as a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) public supported nonprofit charity to provide assistance to victims of child abuse, rape, and domestic violence in the Ozark Mountain region of Northwest Arkansas. During the past ten years, the Foundation has created several alliances in cooperation with other nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies to enhance the services to the victims of these tragic crimes. In September of 2000, Ozark Rape Crisis Center took over the operation of all rape crisis response in the region. In August of 1999, Harmony House, Inc "Shelter Systems" took over the operations for domestic violence victims in the county. In December of 2002, Harmony House, Inc ceased operations. Shelter services were taken over by the "Sanctuary", of Harrison, and "Project for Victims of Family Violence", of Fayetteville. In 2003, victim advocacy services were provided by "St. Johns Hospital", of Berryville. A cooperative effort by all to support those in need. This has allowed the Foundation to re-focus its full efforts on the children in the region and to expand the policy center to a national level while honoring its commitment to serve the victims of both sexual assault and domestic violence in the region. Serving and advocating for children, coupled with local human service programs, has become the sole mission of the Foundation with a special focus on the family. Please look over our programs, to see if we can help you or if you can help us help others. We would appreciate hearing from you.

Pagnozzi Charities was formally founded in 1999 by former University of Arkansas Razorback alumni and coach, Tom Pagnozzi. Pagnozzi Charities programs continue to make a huge impact on our community. The charity was conceived by Tom and then head baseball coach Norm DeBriyn as a way for "Pags" to give back to the program that launched his professional career. What began in 1991 as the Razorback Foundations Celebrity Golf Tournament and Auction, eventually evolved into the Tom Pagnozzi Charity Golf Tournament, Banquet and Sports Memorabilia Auction. Now in its 15th year, the annual event continues to be a gateway of support for Pagnozzi Charities to meet its charitable goals. In addition to the support provided to the Arkansas Razorback Baseball program, with its separation from the Razorback Foundation in 1999 and the development of its own 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) status, Pagnozzi Charities took on a new goal and new events. The Pagnozzi Youth Sports Scholarship Program was created with a desire to extend the charitable arm of the organization to include disadvantaged youth throughout Arkansas, providing them with an open door to the same athletic experiences of their peers and following the Pagnozzi motto to "level the playing field".
