Sometimes it's good to plan for tomorrow, today. With its rolling hills, ponds and marble religious statues, the Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum is a beautiful place. The large glass and marble Mausoleum is built on the highest hill in Ladera Heights, so it overlooks the compound, the city, mountains, ocean and sky. The only kind of headstone allowed is a grave plate, so the grass and rolling hills give the image of eternity. In accordance with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Holy Cross is for members of the Catholic Christian faith.
Live Oak Memorial Park is a full-service funeral parlor and burial ground that also offers cremation. The cemetery is on a large plot of land that is very lush and tastefully landscaped.
The Queen of Heaven Cemetery is a Catholic Cemetery. The grounds are spacious. People come here to visit their loved ones, or just to walk around and witness the wide variety of angelic sculptures and the tombstones nested beneath the hills of Lafayette. The cemetery is tucked away in a more rural section of Lafayette, away from city noises and traffic.
