St. Matthew the Apostle School is a Roman Catholic parochial elementary education institution that serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school, established in 1960, provides Catholic-based education for children. It is accredited by the Louisiana Department of Education, Archdiocese of New Orleans, as well as SACS/CASI. St. Matthew the Apostle School enrolls more than 550 student and has a staff of over 150 teachers.
