The ballroom at the elegant and historic Flanders Hotel (established in 1923) was designed by the notable Ocean City native architect, Vivian Smith and is the main venue for Flanders Hotel Catering. Although its main focus is weddings—complete with chef, certified wedding coordinator and trained personnel—the versatile catering staff has also been known to accommodate charity auctions, fundraisers, anniversary parties, political events, retirement dinners and community organization events. The Community Arts Halloween Party is annually held here. Ocean City's Flanders Hotel is on the National Historic Registry.
701 mosaic features contemporary Caribbean and Mediterranean Cuisine. Since its debut in 2008, 701 mosaic has gained a loyal following, and received multiple "Best Of" awards and complementary reviews from critics, food blogs and diners. The family owned business is run by Pamela Womble and her husband Chef Herb Allwood. The restaurant has a decidedly chic and upscale feel yet remains family friendly.
