The ballroomatthe elegant and historic Flanders Hotel (established in 1923) was designed by the notable Ocean City native architect, Vivian Smith and is the main venue for Flanders Hotel Catering. Although its main focus is weddings—complete with chef, certified wedding coordinator and trainedpersonnel—theversatile catering staffhas also been known to accommodate charity auctions,fundraisers, anniversary parties, political events, retirement dinners and community organization events. The Community Arts Halloween Party is annually held here. Ocean City's Flanders Hotel is on the National Historic Registry.
