The Plaza Cafe is located behind the 71 Hill Street complex by Jobs and Windmill Lanes. The restaurant, which has received excellent reviews from The New York Times, Zagat and Newsday, is known for its wine dinners. On Sundays, customers can bring their own wine without paying a corkage fee. The restaurant also offers classes led by its chef, Doug Gulija.
Tutto Il Giorno Southampton has a full bar and offers all types of authentic Italian dishes, including appetizers, pasta, seafood, fish, chicken and salads. Some menu options include calamari, shrimp fried zucchini, penne pasta, eggplant, beef ragu pasta, tuna tartar and much more. It also has an extensive wine list and an outdoor area.
Coopers is Southampton Village's only lifeguard-protected beach. It has a large parking lot, and seasonal and daily passes are available. There is also a pavilion with concessions, bathrooms and showers.
A village beach sticker is required to park between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. between the Friday before Memorial Day until the middle of September. Surfcasting, launching power boats and surfing outside of designated areas are prohibited during these times. Seasonal parking stickers are available at village hall and at the beach, and are free for village residents.
Camping, alcohol bonfires, erecting tents, playing hardball, littering, unleashed animals and nudity are prohibited at all times.
Located on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation, Thunder Island Coffee Shop is the reservation's only espresso bar. Its signature organic coffees can be shipped all over the country. Customers have the option to dine outside and enjoy their freshly roasted, 100 percent organic coffee. Aside from coffee, the menu also features fresh snacks such as bagels, rolls, hot dogs and muffins. Online shopping is available.
