Founded in 2005, Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC owns a commercial scale, state-of-the-art biodiesel production facility, located in Washington, Iowa. The company uses vegetable oils (primarily soybean oil) and animal fats to manufacture biodiesel. It has alliance with West Central Cooperative, The Biodiesel Group, Renewable Energy Group, Pohaku, Inc., Todd & Sargent, Wayne Seaman Enterprises, WEDG Washington Economic Development Group and Christianson & Associates, LLC. It has a link with the National Biodiesel Board and Renewable Energy Group.
