Welcome to Pet Center Ltd. Were glad you took the time to visit us online. Take a moment to tour our facility, meet our staff, discover our services, or even submit an inquiry. Our goal is to provide your pet with the most comprehensive, state of the art medical, surgical, dental, and preventive medicine available. In doing so, you will come to realize that we treat your pet as though it were a member of our family. Our goal as veterinarians is to provide your pet with the type of health care that you and we can expect from our health care providers. This includes timely office visits, through history taking, and comprehensive physical exams. Only after these steps are taken can we then discuss with you the best options for diagnostics and medical care. We vow to be available at all times, either by having a veterinarian in house during facility hours, or by having a veterinarian available by phone after hours for emergency consultation. We also promise to give you an estimate of anticipated expenses before we begin any diagnostic or therapeutic protocol. We make every effort to stay on time with our appointment schedule. Occasionally, however, a pet will not synchronize his ailment with our schedule resulting in unforeseeable delays. Please let us know of any foreseeable problems in scheduling with a phone call. We would be happy to reschedule your appointment or arrange for a drop-off. We encourage phone calls for information. If a consultation over the phone can result in a solution to your questions, we are happy to provide one! Please understand however, that to make an over-the-phone diagnosis is not always in the best interest of your pet! Our receptionists are highly trained and can usually handle the most commonly asked questions. If they cannot answer them, then the veterinarian will return your call as quickly as possible. At this time, we do not charge a fee for phone consultations. Our boarding facilities feature Shoreline stainless steel kennels and 24ft runs! We are very proud of our superventilated, climate controlled kennel area and encourage you to stop by and take a look at where your pet will stay! For your pets safety, we will only accept boarders that are current on their vaccines:Dogs - DHLPP, Rabies, Bordetella Cats - FVRCPP, Rabies. If your pet was not vaccinated at our facility then you will need to show proof of vaccinations before admittance. All boarders will be examined by a kennel attendant shortly after arrival for any health concerns and to look for parasites. All animals must be flea/tick free upon arrival or we will de-parasite at your expense! Dogs are walked twice a day on leash until they have "eliminated." You can request an additional 15 minute mid-day walk for $5.00 extra. You may bring your own food and toys, etc. We will feed Science Diet to those pets who come without their own food. Water is changed twice daily. Cats have their litter boxes changed twice daily as well. Because we are a health care facility, we are concerned about your pets well being. Should any health care problems arise, we will make every effort to contact you or your veterinarian. If you cannot be reached we will treat your pet at our discretion and in your pets best interest. Boarders may be picked up at anytime during our facility hours. On Sunday, a receptionist will be at the facility at precisely 5:30 pm to discharge animals. If you wish to pick up your pet on Sunday you must be at the facility at 5:30 pm or your pet will stay until Monday. Note: Sunday boarder releases are charged the same as if released on Monday!

Kingsbury Animal Hospital was established in 1978 when Dr. Brammeier turned an abandoned Shell service station into his companion animal practice. Since then the doctors and staff of Kingsbury have provided veterinary and grooming services to the pets of the city of St. Louis and surrounding communities. With the help of architect Tom Cohen, Dr. Brammeier realized his professional dream of practicing in a purpose built, state of the art facility, when a new building was completed in 2004. The new facility was designed for efficiency in delivering veterinary medical services, but also creating a pleasant space for both the patients and their owners. We offer a unique, sensitive approach to pet health care. We take the time to listen carefully to our clients, and then make sure we are not moving too fast with the pets to avoid frightening them, or pushing them beyond their limits. We mostly work on the floor. When we do use an exam table, it is covered in a synthetic sheep skin mat. The flooring in the building is a sheet rubber for better footing, especially for our geriatric patients. Dr. Brammeier has completed three intensive courses in Applied Clinical Behavior with the North American Post-Graduate Institute. We welcome questions about our approach to veterinary medical care. Please send us an email, or come by for a visit and tour of our building. We always enjoy meeting new people and the pets that share their lives.

Although certain medical conditions may cause concern for anesthesia this is true at any age but old age itself is not a disease. A puppy or kitten with a heart problem is an anesthetic concern just as a heart problem would be a concern in a 15 year old pet. With a physical exam, preoperative bloodwork, and a consultation with the doctor concerning expectations, anesthesia can be pursued at any age without undue risk.
