Capitol City Brewing Co. opened its doors in 1992 as one of the first brew pubs in Washington, D.C., since prohibition. The company is a restaurant and brewery. Its brewmasters use some of the finest hops and malts to create its trademark ales, lagers and pilsners. Capitol City s chefs have also designed a menu inspired by regional cuisines. The restaurant hosts events at any of its four microbrewery restaurants. Capitol City has breweries in each restaurant that enable its brewmasters to bring customers fresh beers at all times. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Capitol City Brewing Company is a privately owned company that employs nearly 100 people.
