Rich in history and tradition, Heritage Baptist Church has been a part of the community of Annapolis for more than a century. The church, which currently has a congregation of about 200 people, originated in 1903 when five members of the Eastport Baptist Church dreamed up its creation and raised enough money to see it through. The church's first location was on College Avenue and it remained there until the church moved to its current spot on Forest Drive in 1972. It was then that the Church became known to residents as Heritage Baptist. The church sanctuary includes four beautiful stained-glass windows, which were moved from the College Avenue facility. Reverend Henry Green serves as the church pastor.

Although Columbia Baptist Fellowship (CBF) is not as large as some of the churches in Columbia, its service to others is not lacking. Fellowship is emphasized because "Columbia Baptist Fellowship is about people in Christ and Christ in people." Therefore do not expect a traditional church setting because CBF is "more controlled by the Spirit than structure." But do expect a warm environment, acceptance, love, and many opportunitites to serve God by serving others.

Founded as the Bethesda First Baptist Church in 1938, the congregation worshipped at a bank building before, in 1950, beginning work on the sanctuary of its current location.
The church, which is now non-denominational, provides space to other church communities, as well as to the homeless outreach group Bethesda Cares for a lunch program. It also features a nursery school.
