Meridian University offers bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in psychology, business, education and the arts, and certificate programs in art therapy, transformative learning and more. The alternative university prides itself in a "transformative" education and hosts public programs that are open to the community.
Courses can also be taken online, nights and weekends to accommodate working professionals.
Disciples Seminary Foundation seeks to inspire future theological leaders through faculty partnerships, financial assistance, internships and educational enhancement. The foundation provides theological education.
Fremont College, located on Studebaker Rd. just east of the 605 Freeway, is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Fremont awards Bachelors of Arts degrees (BA), Associate of Arts degrees (AA), Associate of Sciences degrees (BS) and Diplomas.
The modestly sized University of Santa Monica has a curriculum of equally modest size: The institution offers M.A.s in two fields: Spiritual Psychology; and Spiritual Psychology with an Emphasis in Consciousness, Health, and Healing.
Classes are held on a monthly basis, on the weekends, from October through June. An additional week of class is held each summer.
The student body includes primarily Californians, although some international students attend and some out-of-staters fly in on a monthly basis to participate in the school.
