The Channel Reef Community Association manages the Channel Reef oceanfront homes located at the western end of Corona del Mar. This gated community features 47 homes and condos with ocean views and terrace-style architecture. The association provides many amenities here, including barbecue areas, private pools and jacuzzis. Channel Reef community also has a deep-water marina with docks for boats up to 48 feet.

The community is adjacent to Balboa Island and close to local shops and Fashion Island. The Channel Reef Community Association operates in-house to better serve its residents' needs.

Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club, based in minimal leased facilities on the grounds of the Balboa Bay Club, was founded in 1958. BCYC is a private, full service yacht club, located on the waterfront in Newport Beach, Calif. The club has memberships with the Southern California Yachting Association and the Newport Ocean Sailing Association. It has a waterfront restaurant, marina, lounge, waterfront pool and crane facilities. The club hosts a variety of land based parties, organizes cruises, racing and junior sailing programs. BCYC also offers waterfront dining facilities.

The Newport Harbor Lawn Bowling Club is located in San Joaquin Hills Park and has more than 200 members. The club was founded in 1938 near the Balboa pier and is affiliated with the Unites States Lawn Bowls Association, which provides an open door privilege to more than 9,000 bowling clubs around the world. The clubhouse has a kitchen, locker rooms, two greens, barbecues and Internet access. Complimentary lessons are available with an appointment.
