An art space and frame shop located in a restored 1920s-era farmhouse, Vintage Gallery features a collection of fine art by regional artists. The gallery also sells sculptures, textiles, tapestries, Oriental rugs, home accessories, fine art prints, glasswork and gifts. It offers custom framing services and classes for children and adults. Adam Miller was the first permanent settler in Avon Lake. His youngest son, Peter Miller, built what is now known as the Peter Miller House Museum as his home in 1830. This is one of Lorain County's last pre-Civil War lakefront houses. Special open houses can be set up for groups by calling 440-933-6333 to view the home after making advance arrangements. There is an E. Carpenter pump organ in the museum that is in perfect condition. The organ is played during the traditional Monday afternoon summer tours every June-July.
