Jack's Drum Shop sells new and used drums and guitars. Brands they carry include Yamaha, Zildjan, Sabian, Fender and Ludwig. They also repair instruments, and teach guitar and drum lessons.
Gardengate Academy is an early education program for children. It offers a wide range of programs, including options for children between 3 weeks and 10 years old. Some classes include art programs, fitness classes, drop-off programs, family groups, dance programs and more. It also offers birthday party services.
Established in 1975 by a group of citizens, the Danforth Museum of Art just celebrated its 35th year. The Danforth Museum focus on American Art from the 18th Century to today. It has permanent galleries and temporary exhibits featuring contemporary artists. The Museum School offers about 400 classes and workshops annually. It also offers other community outreach programs too.
Opened in 2004, MetalWerx is a non-profit school for learning jewelry/metal design. It also houses cooperative studio space for local designers. During each month, approximately 250 students participate in 13 different classes. Class size ranges from four to 12 students.
Classes include basic and advanced jewelry design, casting, stone setting and cold connections. Evening and weekend classes, workshops and seminars on various topics are also offered. Please see the website for an up- to-date classs schedule.

Jean Paige School of Dance offers dance instruction for young children to adults. It focuses on introduction to ballet for preschool aged children but also offer classes in ballet technique, pointe and jazz. Jean Paige aims to create a positive and challenging environment for its students, and has a Spring Dance Demonstration at the end of every year.
The Art Students Exchange, opened in 1985, holds classes in a variety of areas including portfolio prep for art schools (its specialty), drawing, painting, fashion and anatomy. The school was founded by Connie Lane, a practicing artist, who believes the best way to teach art is to combine imaginative ideas with classical teaching methods. If you are a portfolio prep student, you will be asked to do extra work. Doing so helps increase the possibility of getting accepted to a top art school. Group and individual classes are available throughout the year.
